Last year Panama reached 7.1 million people living abroad. On average, each tourist spends $ 590.
A report by the General Comptroller of the Republic reveals that last year foreign tourists left in Panama 4000 US $ 200 million.
The report entitled Key Monthly Economic Indicators January to December 2015 states that last year entered Panama 7,000,000 128,000 people living abroad.
Of this amount, 2.3 million are tourists, hikers (200,000) and cruise ship passengers (55,000).
Additionally, within the 7.1 million people who came to Panama last year, 4.7 million (66%) made only scale in the Tocumen International Airport or were airline staff.
Spending by resident visitors outside an increase of 12.7% compared to 2014.
